 My journey began at a quaint local bazaar in Loxahatchee, Florida. I brought a few handmade challahs, hoping to connect with my community through food and faith. I never imagined how quickly word would spread — how the whispers of an Israeli Jewish baker would draw people in to experience the warmth and depth of traditional Israeli baking.

I was born and raised in Israel to Jewish parents with roots in Egypt and Iraq, and ancestral ties that stretch across Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Lebanon, and Syria. I was raised in a kitchen steeped in spices, stories, and the kind of hospitality that turns every meal into a celebration.

Through Olives & Saffron, I offer more than food — I share a way of life. Bold, soulful, and made by hand, each dish carries the flavors of my heritage and the spirit of home. From braided challah to za’atar-scented pitas, from baklava to couscous, this is food meant to nourish both body and soul.

  A At Olives & Saffron, every dish begins with meaning. We source the finest ingredients — golden threads of saffron, sun-ripened olives, and fragrant herbs — each one chosen to honor the rich culinary traditions of the Middle East. But ingredients alone don’t tell the whole story.

What brings our kitchen to life is the care in every step. We work in small batches, blending time-honored recipes with a personal, hands-on touch. It’s where tradition meets craftsmanship — where flavor is built with patience, love, and deep respect for those who came before us.

This is food that nourishes more than just hunger. It’s memory, art, and soul — plated with purpose.

 We honor the spirit of kosher cooking in everything we make — no pork, no shellfish, and no mixing of meat and dairy. While our kitchen isn’t under rabbinic supervision, we’re proud to offer food that aligns with the values of many kosher-style homes.  

Prefer certified kosher meat? We’ve got you covered. Just let us know, and we’ll gladly prepare your order using trusted suppliers like Empire, Teva, or Solomon’s (additional cost applies).

We donate meals, volunteer our time, and proudly partner with local organizations across South Florida — including Heroes for Israel Project, The Jewish Federation of PBC, Epilepsy Alliance Florida, NAIA’s Pet Rescue, Kohl Jewish Volunteer Center, MorseLife, and Fab & Fun Friends.

We also support fundraising efforts, community drives, and mission-led events through food, service, and connection. Whether it’s baking for a cause or helping someone else shine, we’re honored to be part of something bigger.
