Meet Chef Osi

Shalom,  I’m Osi Birdseye, founder  and Executive Chef of Olives & Saffron.

My love of food began around the family table, surrounded by the Israeli, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors I grew up with. My cooking is inspired by those traditions, the recipes passed through generations, and the wonderful flavors I’ve discovered along the way.

I love taking familiar dishes and making them my own — keeping the soul of the food while adding a fresh, beautiful and sometimes unexpected twist.

For me, food has never been simply about feeding people. It’s about connection — the conversations around a table, the memories tied to a familiar aroma, and the joy of creating something together.

That belief became Olives & Saffron.

Today, I bring it to life through hands-on culinary experiences, private catering, holiday tables and special celebrations throughout South Florida. Whether I’m teaching someone to braid their first challah, creating a beautiful grazing table, or preparing a family’s holiday meal, I want the experience to feel personal, generous and memorable.

Giving back is also close to my heart, and I’m grateful whenever I can use food to bring joy, connection and a little kindness to my community.
